My name is James Haasis. I have been interested in writing for as long as I can remember. My passion really picked up, however, when I decided to grow my beard out Sophomore year. It has made me smarter. People with beards are generally wiser, and it is no different for me. I decided to join The Voice because I hope to impart my bearded knowledge on my constituents at Perkiomen Valley High School.

My name is Dave and I have been writing for The Voice since freshman year. I like writing sports articles and I got to be the sports editor last year. I joined the newspaper because I have always enjoyed writing and I wanted to become a more involved member of the Perkiomen Valley High School Community. I also participate in speech and debate, and this is my fourth year on the lacrosse team. Go Vikings!

My name is Ryan and I have been writing for The Voice since last year. I started off as a contributor but soon became an editor. I like to write about sports and anything relating to life at the high school. I joined the newspaper because I really like writing and I wanted to find out if journalism would be fun and interesting. I have played tennis for the school since Freshman year and I also participate in Rotary Interact and Link Crew.

My name is Sarah Tucholke and I have been managing and designing the Voice’s website since this school year. Throughout my time at PV, I have participated in multiple extracurricular activities including ski and snowboard club, field hockey, and track. In my free time, I like to hangout with my friends, watch Netflix, and take naps. I also enjoy making websites and playing with my dog Cali. In 2016, I received first place in the Montgomery County Computer Fair for a website I made. I plans on continuing my studies at The University of Tampa next year studying Management Information Systems.

I am currently a junior at Perkiomen Valley High School and the sports editor of The Voice.  I think that writing really helps people understand past, current, and possibly future events, so I really just enjoy contributing to that, whether it be with The Voice or on  I enjoy playing football for the school, as well as having a simple conversation with people about sports, analytics/statistics, or politics.  I intend on majoring in some branch of Marketing when I reach college, wherever that may be.  For any aspiring sports writers feel free to share your articles with me at either or

Sana Kewalramani

I am a junior who enjoys to contribute to the PVHS newspaper in creative ways. I am a writer and photographer for “The Voice”. Some of my hobbies include graphic design, art, writing, and playing tennis. Other extra curricular activities I am involved in are Key Club and Girls Tennis. This year I was able to create the brand new logo for “the Voice” by utilizing elements of graphic design. I believe Newspaper club is a unique place for boundless ideas and collaboration to connect from all sides of the school.

Julien Padillo

I am a writer and the Entertainment editor for The Voice, and also had a hand in designing the new logo. She has been participating in her school newspaper since the sixth grade with no intent on stopping any time soon. I also participate in orchestra and symphony, and have an overall affinity for the creative arts. Animation will always hold a place in my heart (you can come talk to me about cartoons anytime!). In the future, I hope to pursue a career in communications and sociology.
